Freshers, Crispin Beaumont & Tom Darling of Southampton, were obviously using the BUCS-BUSA Fleet Championships at Draycote in November as some last minute competition training (when they took first in the Fast Handicap and a dozen BUCS points home to Southampton). Now we know the build-up was to win Gold at the 2016 World Sailing’s Youth World Championships in the 29er at Auckland, New Zealand. Congratulations!
