University of Nottingham Sport Sailing Club held its annual Snakebite at Notts County Sailing Club, the host and venue respectively, for the 2015 BUCS/BUSA Team Racing Championship. Organised by Lara Cator, with a great UoNSSC team, together with some friendly, but unobtrusive support from NCSC, the event was a great success.
Wessex described the conditions on Saturday as champagne. Loughborough led the round robin when this was cut-off after 6 races each. The semi’s and final showcased some of the best races of the weekend. In the best-of-three semi-finals, Wessex just managed to beat Newcastle 1 despite losing the first race, and Loughborough also scraped through in a thrilling final race against NOBs. Wessex Sailing Club (Southampton University) commented: “….a great weekend! Big thanks to UoN Sailing Club for hosting a cracking event, and we all look forward to being back for BUSA!”
