BUSA statement in response to Covid-19

The BUSA committee has been closely monitoring the evolving situation in respect of the Covid-19 global pandemic as well as reviewing government & RYA advice and consulting with BUCS. BUSA, as an organisation representing and supporting student sailing, must put the health and safety of its members, volunteers and general public first.

The following principles will be adopted by BUSA throughout the coming academic year:

  1. We will continue to follow all guidance presented (Government, RYA, BUCS) to protect the health of our members
  2. We will endeavour to freeze cost increases and implement strategies to preserve BUSA and our member clubs
  3. We will ensure the quality & integrity of the competition we offer is maintained, in all disciplines.

The RYA have suspended organised activity until 1st March 2021 in support of new lockdown restrictions. All BUSA events planned during this period have been postponed or cancelled. Please see Championship pages for the latest information on each event.
