Dear Member Club,
I am delighted to invite you to the BUSA AGM 2023.
It will be held at the BUSA Team Racing Championships on Wednesday the 12th April at Grafham Water Sailing Club from approximately 6pm.
It is our intention to hold the meeting in person, with a provision for people to join online, more details of which to follow.
Each BUSA member club must ensure one member is present for the AGM. Each member club shall be entitled to two votes (BUSA Constitution, 11.11). Individuals running for a position can not vote on behalf of their club. Please could you let us know who will be attending to represent your club by filling out this Attendance form by noon on Tuesday 11th April.
All member university club members are welcome to attend to listen and contribute to discussion, but only the nominated members via the form above will be eligible to vote.
Please could any matters for discussion at AGM be emailed to Karen Rawson (Secretary) at secretary@busa.co.uk by Friday 7th April 2023.
New committee members will be elected at the AGM.
The following roles are up for election:
Executive Committee: President (2 year term), Chair (2 year term), Vice Chair, Treasurer
Officer Roles: Team Racing Officer, Fleet Racing Officer, Keelboating Officer, Match Racing officer, Development Officer, Media Officer, Tour Manager
Area Chairs: Scottish, Northern, Midlands, Western, Southern and Eastern..
Please submit committee nominations via this form by Friday 7th April 2023. It will also be possible to nominate individuals in person at the AGM, but it is recommended nominations are made by this date as the nomination list will be shared with members before the AGM.

If any roles remain vacant, the General Committee may co-opt a person to fill that office until the next AGM (BUSA Constitution, 7.10).
The AGM Agenda, along with any other documents including committee nominations will be circulated with members on Sunday 9th April 2023.
