We cater for all levels of experience, from absolute beginners to experienced racers. We have a very active dinghy fleet based out of Aberdeen Stonehaven Yacht Club and also a extremely busy yachting division that sails all over the UK. We are also one of the most social clubs within the university with a social almost every week at on Sponsor Pub The Illicit Still.
In the dinghy section we hold open sailing on a regular basis, this is a chance for members to go for a relaxed sail on one of our sailing dinghies. We are a RYA Recognised Training Centre and run both sailing and powerboat courses, which are open to both members of AUSC and the public.
The sailing club also has teams attending SSS (Scottish Student Sailing) events as well as BUSA (British University Sailing Association) events. These are always good events with excellent sailing and even better socials. The Scottish Universities take turn to host the various SSS events.
In our yachting section, we also have a racing team that in the past has been extremely successful and regularly attends races all across the country. We also have beginner yachting, such as our beginners weekend and annual booze cruise.
