Bangor’s sailing club is based at Plas Menai National Watersports Centre on the Menai Straits, giving access to a range of very well maintained boats, equipment and facilities matched by few other UK university sailing clubs. The club caters for sailors of all abilities, welcoming complete beginners (for whom we run RYA level 1 and 2 courses) up to seasoned racers for whom we hold training weekly and are also breaking out onto the university racing circuit. Sailing takes place every weekend, usually on both days, and racing and free sailing run to suit all tastes. The club competes in national events and inter-university competitions.
