Lancaster University Sailing Club (LUSC) is an active club involved in both racing and social sailing. The club sails at Bolton Sailing Club, sharing their excellent facilities at Belmont Reservoir. LUSC have a fleet of 6 recently refurbished Fireflys and two Laser 2s.
The club welcomes members of all abilities and encourages everyone to get involved in team racing. In the future LUSC are looking into developing fleet racing. LUSC competes in team racing at events across the country, and are continually looking to improve their results through training and experience in a variety of events.
LUSC attend BUSA qualifiers year on year with the ultimate goal of reaching the finals. In their final term they also have a huge rivalry with the University of York Sailing Club at the annual varsity tournament, Roses.
The clubs social sailing calendar is structured to accommodate beginners and include the more experienced member’s as well. LUSCs social calendar is also jam packed, and definitely not to be missed!
