We are Leeds University Sailing Club (LUSC)

We love everything to do with sailing, from competitive racing to just having a good old prat about on the water, and we want you to get involved.

Whether you have been sailing all your life or have never even seen a sail, we don’t mind! We are proud to offer tuition for any skill level, from the beginners to competitive racing, for those who wish to take it to the next level.

There are even opportunities to try a bit of yacht sailing and racing, with power boat training too for those who are interested.

Every sailors second love is a good time, and here in Leeds we are no different. From nights out on the town to the occasional dinner party, we get together for huge variety of social activities, all culminating in our legendary open air summer social at our club at the end of the year. Rest assured there is never a dull moment.

Our Facebook page gives detailed information about LUSCs sailing activities at West Riding Sailing Club, Wintersett Reservoir, near Wakefield, including: Saturday Sailing (transport provided), tuition, qualifications and support available, Give It a Go sessions, held every October and February, racing, including fast and furious inter-uni team racing events, and all of LUSCs social activities.
