The University of Lincoln Sailing Society sails twice a week at Hykeham Sailing Club. All levels of experience and ability are welcome with equipment, instruction, and safety cover provided.

We run social sails every Saturday in term time. These sessions are designed to introduce sailing to new members while having fun on the water. For those looking to develop their skills further, we offer RYA-certified courses through our affiliate, LDSA, allowing members to gain formal qualifications.

In addition to recreational sailing, we offer competitive training during Wednesday sports afternoons, focusing on team racing skills. We have two race teams: Lincoln Yellow, for beginners to develop race skills in a non-competitive setting, and Lincoln Blue, which competes in weekend regattas throughout the year. From April, we also participate in Sunday fleet racing at Hykeham Sailing Club.

Beyond sailing, members are encouraged to get involved in a wide range of social events throughout the year. These include lively socials and club takeover fundraisers in collaboration with our sponsor, MAJOR LABEL, as well as nights out at the Students’ Union’s popular society club, QUACK!.
