This weekend at the annual Wilson trophy at West Kirby Sailing Club, BUSA will be represented by the Cambridge University team. Made up from students spanning 6 academic years and with 4 Cambridge Captains (past, present and future), the team are still on high from winning BUSA team racing finals, hence their selection for the event.
Every team member has the Wilson Trophy experience under their belt at least once whether it be for BUSA, Cambridge or Sevenoaks school but will no doubt be hoping to push the envelope this year and make it to the knockout stages. The sailors will hold high hopes after only dropping an hand-full of races in their last 3 events including coming second at UKTRA finals only losing out on tie break. However there is no illusions that it will be easy, with the event touted by many as harder to win than even the world championships.
The team for the event is:
Jonathon Pinner and Ben lister
Rob Style and Amy Gunning
Tom Heywood and Megan Burrough
