Sixty University teams from all over the UK will be competing in the BUSA Team Racing Qualifiers this weekend at five fantastic venues including Grafham, Farmoor, West Kirby, Spinnaker and . Each of the teams will be striving to gain a place at the inaugural BUSA Team Racing Championship in April 2006.
This year BUSA is trying out a new format for qualifying for the Finals. By reducing the number of qualifiers and by making each qualifier longer and with more teams, BUSA hope that the standard of team racing within universities will improve and also allow more time in the calendar for training and other events.
The further seven places in the Finals will be confirmed at the Playoffs in March where 14 teams from the qualifiers will have a second chance to gain a slot in the Finals.
With the weather looking cold and windy for the weekend, the committee wish all teams the best of luck for the event.
