The British team have started strongly after day 1 of racing at the World University Match Racing Championships in Rimini, with 5 wins against Slovenia, Poland, Germany 1, Croatia and Italy 1 to a single loss vs.
Sweden. The conditions were an ideal onshore F3-4 and some clean starting by skipper Ali Hall was backed up by some slick sail handling by crew members Rob Grieg-Gran, Carl Gibbon, Dave Royse and Rob Hoey.

There is, however, still a long way to go with 5 more matches tomorrow in the round robin stages, followed by another 3 days racing in the Italian sun.
