Despite the forecast we arrived at Spinnaker Sailing Club early on Saturday morning to be greeted by a surprising lack of wind. A short wait and we got out on the water, racing got underway and we got to around lunchtime before swapping to cutdowns. A couple of swims from a few different teams but a high level of racing all round. We managed to get through 53 races on the first day which was just over 80%, meaning if the forecast for tomorrow transpired we would still have managed enough races for the Qualifier to count. Luckily Sunday morning we were met with sailable conditions and got straight out on the water to complete the final 13 races of the round robin, all of Sunday was sailed using cutdowns due to some gusts of upwards of 35 knots coming down the course. The weekend saw some excellent and very close racing amongst all the teams, congratulations to Southampton Red taking the provisional win and to all the other teams that competed.

A huge thanks to all the umpires Greg Eaton, Chris Atkins, Tom Clay and Nick Devereux. As well as a huge thanks to Ella Ashworth (PRO), Ted Ashworth (Course Manager) and to all the volunteers that made the event possible. A final thanks to Spinnaker Sailing Club for helping us to host such a successful event.
