This article contains important information regarding Team Changes for the forthcoming Team Racing Finals. This should be read before contacting BUSA regarding Team Changes
ALL team changes must be aproved by the Team Racing Group (TRG), when reaching a decision they use the following criteria
1. On deciding whether to allow a team change a ‘two thirds rule’ will be deemed to apply, so that during the qualifiers either two crews or one crew and one helm may be interchanged with a person or persons not already sailing for any other team at the Institution.
2. Where possible the listed reserve on the submitted Team Registration Form should be used. On completion of the Regional Qualifier the ‘two thirds rule’ will furthermore allow any other team member from the same university that has not already qualified to be substituted.
3. Any teams with exceptional circumstances requiring changes that do not fall within the two-thirds rule may still make a request for a change which will then be considered by the Team Racing Working Party taking into account all the relevant circumstances.
